This expansion is part of a larger plan to use LTE-based communication for better train safety.

Kavach is an Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system developed by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO). It monitors the speed and location of trains and automatically applies brakes if a driver passes a danger signal or exceeds the speed limit.
