Indian Railways has directed all Zonal Railways to implement these provisions effectively. Strict action will be taken under the Railway Act, 1989, against any unauthorized passengers found traveling in coaches specifically reserved for Divyangjan. On January 22, 2026, the Railways introduced a provision allowing Divyang passengers to change the name of their attendant on a concessional reservation ticket without having to cancel the entire booking. Additionally, the implementation of revised concession certificate proformas on February 1, 2025, has further modernized the verification process.
