Kharagpur and Ranchi Division Disruptions
In the Kharagpur Railway Division, heavy rains and landslides have caused service disruptions for the third consecutive day. Train number 18401 Bangiriposi-Puri Express and train number 18402 Puri-Bangiriposi Express for August 21 and 22 will terminate at Rupsa. Similarly, the 18015 Shalimar-Bhanjpur Express and 18017 Bhanjpur-Puri Express are also restricted to Rupsa. Several passenger trains, including 68176 Bhanjpur-Rupsa, 68177 Rupsa-Baripada, 68184 Baripada-Rupsa, and 68173 Rupsa-Bhanjpur, will operate only up to Betnoti.
Operations in the Ranchi Railway Division are affected by development work on the Kita-Silli section, impacting five pairs of trains today. Specifically, the 13503/13504 Barddhaman-Hatia-Barddhaman MEMU Express and 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express are partially cancelled.
Western, Northeast Frontier, and Other Divisions
Meanwhile, the Western Railway has initiated a non-interlocking block at Valsad station from August 21 to August 23 to facilitate electronic interlocking, resulting in further diversions and cancellations. The Northeast Frontier Railway has cancelled the 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express for August 21 and the 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express for August 22 due to restoration work near New Harangajao station. Additionally, landslides have disrupted services on the Kalka-Shimla heritage track, and the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway has cancelled various MEMU trains between August 17 and August 23 due to a rolling block.
