North Western Railway has announced a significant traffic block on the Churu-Sadulpur rail route starting from April 14, 2026. This closure is scheduled to last until April 30, 2026, to facilitate track doubling and automatic signaling work in the Bikaner division. The construction activity will specifically take place between Dudhwakhara, Hadial, Dokwa, and Sadulpur stations, leading to the cancellation of 14 passenger trains and the diversion of over 30 other services.

Which trains are fully cancelled during this period?

The railway administration has decided to cancel several key passenger services to ensure the safety and speed of the doubling project. Passengers are advised to check the status of their bookings as these cancellations will affect daily commuters and long-distance travelers alike. Below is the list of major trains that will remain cancelled on specific dates.

Apart from cancellations, more than 30 trains will follow alternative routes to reach their destinations. Major long-distance trains such as the Sealdah-Bikaner Express, Howrah-Bikaner, and Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi will be diverted via Rewari, Ringas, Phulera, and Jaipur. These changes are expected to increase the travel time for passengers on these routes.

  • Partial Cancellations: The Jodhpur-Hisar (14891) train will terminate at Churu from April 14 to 29, while the return service (14892) will start from Churu instead of Hisar.
  • Route Diversions: Trains like the Barmer-Howrah (12324) and Delhi Sarai-Jodhpur (22421) will bypass the affected section and run through the Phulera-Degana-Merta route.
  • Schedule Changes: The Lalgarh-Prayagraj (20404) service will depart with a delay of 2 hours and 45 minutes on specific dates including April 16, 18, and 20.

Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan and DRM Anurag Tripathi have urged passengers to verify their train status through official railway helplines or the NTES app before starting their journey. The doubling of the track is expected to improve train speed and frequency in the Bikaner division once completed.
