Indian Railways has introduced several special train services to accommodate the increase in passenger traffic during the summer season. These new trains aim to provide more travel options for those planning trips to Kolkata, Howrah, and Asansol. Along with new services, the railway has also updated the schedule for the Varanasi-Jodhpur Marudhar Express to streamline operations and improve punctuality.
Route Details for Summer Special Trains
The railway department is operating the Khatipura-Howrah Express and the Madar-Kolkata Express as part of the summer holiday plan. The Madar-Kolkata Express will provide connectivity to smaller stations by stopping at Idgah and Achhnera. Additionally, the Sabarmati-Asansol Express will cater to the heavy demand on the route between Gujarat and West Bengal. These services are expected to reduce the waiting list for regular trains during the peak vacation months.
Marudhar Express Timing Update and Key Information
Passengers traveling on the Marudhar Express, which runs between Varanasi and Jodhpur, should note that its schedule has been modified. This timing change comes into effect from Tuesday. The railways has shared the following information regarding the trains that are part of this holiday update:
- Khatipura-Howrah Express: Special service launched for the summer rush.
- Madar-Kolkata Express: Includes additional stops at Idgah and Achhnera stations.
