Uttarakhand is set to upgrade its security infrastructure with the introduction of a new AI model named Naina. This technology, developed by Sacninjaz Company, is designed to monitor railway stations and offices to identify suspicious activities instantly. The system aims to enhance safety for thousands of passengers by scanning crowds for potential threats or health emergencies.
Key features of the Naina AI system
The Naina AI model functions by analyzing live camera feeds to detect suspicious behavior or objects even in very large crowds. It can calculate the percentage of suspicion in real-time and alert security personnel if it detects a person carrying a weapon. Beyond security, the system also monitors the health of employees in offices, providing immediate alerts for sudden medical emergencies such as heart attacks. Amol, the Director of Sacninjaz Company, stated that this technology will make the work of security personnel significantly easier.
Impact on transport and safety in Uttarakhand
This AI model is expected to play a major role in monitoring the Char Dham pilgrimage and managing disasters in the state. The system is designed to ensure compliance with transport rules and identify accidents on highways or expressways. When an accident occurs, the AI sends the exact location and alerts to police and health teams for timely treatment of the injured. While the focus is currently on Uttarakhand, the company is also working on implementing this model in the Delhi Metro network. The specific capabilities include:
- Identification of suspicious persons in thousands of people at railway stations
- Detection of weapons and unauthorized objects
- Real-time health monitoring and emergency heart attack alerts
- Automatic alerts for highway accidents to police and medical teams
- Support for monitoring major pilgrimages and disaster-prone areas
