NEET 2026 Exam: Western Railway to operate 6 special trains for students, check routes and timings

Western Railway will run six special trains on June 20 and 21, 2026, to help students traveling for the NEET 2026 examination. These trains are designed to reduce travel stress for candidates appearing for the exam on June 21. Bookings for these services started on June 19, 2026, through IRCTC and PRS counters.

What are the routes and timings of the special trains?

The railway has introduced three pairs of special trains operating at special fares with Sleeper and General coaches. The detailed schedule is as follows:

What additional facilities are provided for NEET candidates?

To ensure smooth travel, Western Railway cancelled the jumbo block on its suburban section for June 21, 2026. Suburban trains will run on a regular weekday schedule. Special assistance counters with RPF and commercial staff are set up at 13 stations to help students with guidance and security. The railway is also providing adequate drinking water and continuous monitoring at these stations.

Are other railway zones also running special trains?

Yes, other zones have also stepped in. South East Central Railway (SECR) is running MEMU specials between Korba-Durg and Chhindwara-Itwari, and added 40 general coaches to 10 trains. Northern Railway has announced special trains on routes including Amritsar-Ludhiana and Firozepur Cantt-Ludhiana for June 21.

No, Western Railway has cancelled the scheduled jumbo block on June 21 to ensure students can travel smoothly. Suburban services will follow the regular weekday schedule.
