Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the RailOne app on July 1, 2025, in New Delhi. This app was developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) to bring all passenger services under one platform. The goal is to make the interface simpler for common passengers and improve overall safety.

What are the key features and changes in RailOne App?
The RailOne app acts as a super app where users can access various railway services in one place. It is authorized by IRCTC, and passengers can log in using their existing IRCTC credentials. A major change is the discontinuation of the UTS app, as its services will move to RailOne starting March 1, 2026. Additionally, the app now uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to give better predictions on waitlisted ticket confirmations.
What are the current issues and future updates?
Some users reported login problems and payment errors in June 2026. There was also a technical glitch in the geo-fencing feature around April 13, 2026, which allowed people to book unreserved tickets while on moving local trains. To improve the system, the Ministry of Railways plans to upgrade the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) from August 2026 to handle more bookings and enquiries.
