A major change is the discontinuation of the UTS app, as its services will move to RailOne starting March 1, 2026. Additionally, the app now uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to give better predictions on waitlisted ticket confirmations.

Some users reported login problems and payment errors in June 2026. There was also a technical glitch in the geo-fencing feature around April 13, 2026, which allowed people to book unreserved tickets while on moving local trains. To improve the system, the Ministry of Railways plans to upgrade the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) from August 2026 to handle more bookings and enquiries.
