A boost for passenger experience
The redevelopment of Shamli station is a core component of the Indian Railways’ **Amrit Bharat Station Scheme**. Beyond the internal station upgrades, the project has focused on improving sanitation facilities, creating comfortable waiting areas, and streamlining entry and exit points to reduce congestion. Northern Railway’s Delhi Division officials, led by **DRM Pushpesh R. Tripathi**, have closely monitored the site to ensure all facilities meet the new standards. The project’s successful completion was coordinated by the Gati Shakti Unit, with significant contributions from Site Engineer Ankit Malik and Engineer MP Singh.
Part of a national vision
This event is not limited to Shamli; it represents a broader effort to modernize rail infrastructure across India. Other stations slated for inauguration via video conferencing include Pisca and Muri in the Ranchi division, along with Vidisha, Sanchi, and Ashoknagar in the Bhopal division. These upgrades are central to the government’s vision of a **’Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India)**, aiming to provide a world-class travel experience. By focusing on overall station complex development and better road connectivity, Indian Railways is actively working to transform the daily commute for millions of passengers across the country.
