A prime example of this progress is the Nagaur railway station, which is being redeveloped at a cost of 17.32 crore rupees. While the interior facilities like reservation offices and waiting rooms are already operational, ongoing efforts are centered on landscaping, beautification, and the construction of dedicated entry and exit gates to streamline passenger movement.
A Nationwide Vision for Railways
This project is part of a larger nationwide mission to redevelop 1340 railway stations across the country. The master plans for these stations are tailored to reflect local aesthetics while accommodating future passenger growth. Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed on August 7, 2026, that Rajasthan remains a key focus area for this transformation.
