Indian Railways has announced a new weekly special train service connecting Lalkuan and Sabarmati to accommodate the expected rise in passenger demand during the upcoming festival season. Managed by the North Eastern Railway’s Izzatnagar division, this service will run for a total of 13 trips, providing much-needed connectivity for travelers moving between Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

Schedule and Timings
For the onward journey, train number 05344 will depart from Lalkuan every Wednesday at 1:35 PM, starting from September 2, 2026, until November 25, 2026. The train is scheduled to reach Jaipur at 12:35 AM on Thursday and arrive at its final destination, Sabarmati, at 11:05 AM on Thursday.
In the return direction, the Sabarmati-Lalkuan Weekly Special (train numbers 05343/05345) will depart from Sabarmati every Thursday at 4:00 PM, running from September 3, 2026, to November 26, 2026. This service will reach Jaipur at 2:00 AM on Friday and conclude its journey at Lalkuan at 2:20 PM on Friday.
Route and Stoppages
The special train is designed to serve several key transit hubs along the route. Important stoppages include Kichha, Bareilly Junction, Mathura Junction, Jaipur, Ajmer, Marwar Junction, Falna, Sumerpur-Jawai Bandh, Abu Road, Palanpur, and Mahesana.
Chief Public Relations Officer Sumit Kumar of the Izzatnagar division confirmed these operational details, emphasizing the railway administration’s commitment to easing the travel burden on passengers during the festive rush. With a mix of AC, sleeper, and general coaches, the service aims to provide flexible accommodation options for all categories of travelers.
