Public frustration is mounting over the significant delay in the proposed railway line connecting Hisar, Agroha, Fatehabad, and Sirsa. Despite the project being included in the 2025-26 annual budget, local leaders and the Vaishya community have expressed deep disappointment that ground-level work has yet to commence.

Bajrang Garg, National Executive President of the Agroha Dham Vaishya Samaj, highlighted that the proposed line is essential for the region’s connectivity. Currently, thousands of pilgrims visit Agroha Dham daily, and the local medical college records over 3,000 patients in its daily OPD. Additionally, the route between Hisar, Fatehabad, and Sirsa sees heavy passenger movement every day.
Industry experts and community leaders believe that completing the 93-km track would not only provide much-needed relief to commuters and pilgrims but would also be highly profitable for the Indian Railways due to the high volume of daily traffic.
Demands for immediate action
During a recent meeting held at Agroha Dham, representatives from across the country, including delegates from Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, and Rajasthan, urged the central government to stop the delays. In addition to the railway line, there is a strong demand to make the local bus stand operational immediately to improve regional transit.
The community has emphasized that the project was a key promise in the 2025-26 budget, and the failure to execute it has led to widespread resentment among the public. The Vaishya Samaj leadership has warned that the government must honor its commitments to ensure the socio-economic development of the region and provide the promised convenience to the thousands of passengers who rely on this route for their daily travel.
