What’s inside:

This article talks about train delays caused by waterlogging on railway tracks due to rising river levels in Bihar.

Train services have been affected in the region due to water collecting on railway tracks. The Vande Bharat Express from Howrah to Jamalpur had to be rescheduled because of this issue.

The water level of the Ganga River had earlier risen above the danger mark but has now come down again. Despite this, many trains are still facing delays because of the waterlogged tracks.

For example, the Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Special and the Godda-Tata Express also ran late. The Vande Bharat Express from Howrah was delayed by over an hour, reaching Bhagalpur much later than scheduled.

On the 30th of August, the river crossed the danger mark again, but by the 23rd of September, the water level had dropped below it. The train from Godda to Tata was nine hours late, and other trains faced delays of around 105 minutes.

Currently, the railway authorities are monitoring the situation closely. Passengers are advised to check the latest updates on their train schedules before traveling.

Summary:

  • Train services delayed due to waterlogged tracks.

  • Vande Bharat Express rescheduled because of water issues.

  • Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Special also ran late.

  • Ganga’s water level fluctuated but is now below the danger mark.

  • Passengers should check train timings before traveling.
