Major Railway Infrastructure Projects and Budget
To reduce congestion at major junctions and increase track capacity, several multi-crore projects have been sanctioned for the region. A new rail bypass in Bhagalpur connecting Gonudham Halt to Sabour station will help de-clutter the main Bhagalpur Junction. Furthermore, massive investments are being made in doubling and tripling rail lines across key corridors to ensure faster train movement and better punctuality for both passenger and goods trains.
