New Amrit Bharat Express and Special Train Services
The Railway Ministry has announced a significant increase in the number of Amrit Bharat Express trains serving Bihar. Passengers can now look forward to daily services between Patna and New Delhi, along with weekly connectivity on routes like Darbhanga-Lucknow and Saharsa-Amritsar. To assist local commuters, a new daily passenger special train (03611/03612) has started operations between Patna and Gaya from March 23, 2026. This train will stop at all small and big stations on the route to provide maximum convenience.

Major Railway Infrastructure Projects and Budget

Furthermore, massive investments are being made in doubling and tripling rail lines across key corridors to ensure faster train movement and better punctuality for both passenger and goods trains.
