Gorakhpur Junction: 10 trains cancelled and 28 diverted due to mega block for FOB construction

Rail administration has announced a mega traffic block at Gorakhpur Junction to facilitate the construction of a new Foot Over Bridge. This block will be in place from April 29 to May 9, impacting several train services. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys according to the revised schedule as many trains will be cancelled or operated from alternative stations during this period.

Impact on Train Operations at Gorakhpur Junction

The construction work for the new Foot Over Bridge requires a complete traffic block for safety reasons. As a result, the railway department has cancelled 10 trains entirely. Furthermore, 28 trains that were originally scheduled to originate from or terminate at Gorakhpur Junction will now be handled at other nearby stations. This change aims to minimize congestion and allow the engineering work to proceed without interruptions.
