Indian Railways is set to launch the new Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express to make travel easier for passengers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off the service from Varanasi on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. This new train will operate as a daily service between Banaras and Hadapsar.

The inaugural special train will run as Train Number 02531. It will depart from Banaras station at 4:45 PM on April 28. The train will stop at 18 major stations, including Fatehpur. In Fatehpur, the train will arrive at 9:15 PM and depart at 9:20 PM.
What is the coach composition of the Amrit Bharat Express?
The train will consist of a total of 22 coaches to accommodate a large number of passengers. The breakdown of the coaches is as follows:

Shashi Kant Tripathi, CPRO of North Central Railway, confirmed that the daily service is being introduced for passenger convenience. The rake for the train has already arrived at Banaras station. Local citizens, students, and representatives will welcome the train with garlands during the inauguration.
