North Western Railway has changed the routes of four major trains from April 25 to April 27, 2026. This decision was taken because of double track work on the Churu-Sadulpur section of the Bikaner Division. The work is being carried out between Dudhwakhara, Haryal, Dokwa, and Sadulpur stations to improve future rail services.
Which trains are affected and what are their new routes?
The railway administration has shared the diverted routes for the following trains to avoid the block section:
| Train Number & Name | Date | Diverted Route |
|---|---|---|
| 12324 Barmer-Howrah Express | 25 April | Phulera-Ringas-Rewari |
| 22482 Delhi Sarai-Jodhpur Express | 25-27 April | Rewari-Ringas-Phulera |
| 19027 Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi | 25 April | Degana-Ringas-Rewari-Hisar |
| 19028 Jammu Tawi-Bandra Terminus | 27 April | Hisar-Rewari-Ringas-Degana |
Why is the route being changed and what is the impact?
Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan and Jodhpur DRM Anurag Tripathi confirmed that a mega block was taken for doubling work. This project will help increase the number of trains and save travel time in the long run. Apart from these four trains, services like Lalgarh-Prayagraj and Bikaner-Delhi Sarai Rohilla also faced delays or route changes in April. Some services between Jodhpur and Hisar were partially cancelled.
How can passengers check their train status?
Railway officials have advised all passengers to verify their train’s current position and route before starting their journey. Travelers can use the official railway helpline number 139 to get the latest updates and avoid any inconvenience at the station.
