The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has started work on a new four-lane flyover near Gadhi village on the Delhi-Rewari railway line. This infrastructure project is expected to benefit over 10,000 families living in the surrounding sectors. By eliminating the bottleneck at the railway crossing, the flyover will provide seamless access to the Dwarka Expressway for daily commuters.

Project cost and railway partnership
The total estimated budget for this railway overbridge at crossing number 29 is approximately 59 crore rupees. Indian Railways has officially agreed to co-finance the project by sharing 50 percent of the total construction cost. A private consultant was appointed in February 2026 to prepare a fresh Detailed Project Report which is expected to be finalized by April 2026.
Impact on local traffic and sectors
This development will specifically help residents of Sector 37C and Sector 37D, along with various villages in the vicinity. GMDA officials have highlighted that the bridge will significantly improve connectivity between old Gurugram and new developing areas near the expressway. The authority is also coordinating with the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran to finalize land acquisition requirements for the project.
