New Train Announcement: Indian Railways to launch summer special trains to West Bengal from Jodhpur, Jabalpur and Gandhidham

Indian Railways has launched several summer special trains to tackle the heavy passenger traffic during the upcoming vacation season. These trains will connect major cities like Jodhpur, Gandhidham, and Jabalpur with West Bengal. According to Eastern Railway officials, approximately 1,484 summer special services are planned for 2026, including both reserved and unreserved categories to ensure comfortable travel for everyone across key routes.

Detailed schedule for Jodhpur and Jabalpur special trains

The Jodhpur-Asansol Weekly Special (04819/04820) will operate from April 14 to April 28, 2026. It will depart from Jodhpur every Tuesday at 5:00 PM and reach Asansol on Thursday morning. The train consists of 20 coaches, including AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, Sleeper, and General classes. It will stop at 30 major stations such as Jaipur, Agra, Tundla, Patna, and Jasidih. For passengers from Madhya Pradesh, the Jabalpur-Howrah Special (01701/01702) will run on April 14, 21, and 28, departing Jabalpur at 7:20 PM and arriving at Howrah the following night.

New routes from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Mumbai to Bengal

The Gandhidham-Malda Town special will run every Sunday from Gandhidham starting April 19, 2026, and continue through July. Additionally, a special train between Malda Town and Udhna (09033/09034) will operate to assist passengers traveling towards Gujarat. Central Railway has also added special services between Mumbai LTT and Howrah to manage the rush. These initiatives aim to provide confirmed berths to passengers during the peak summer travel period.
