A major landslide that occurred on July 6 initially blocked all three railway lines in the region.
While railway engineers successfully restored the down and middle lines by July 14, the restoration work on the third railway line—the South East ghat section—remained in progress as of July 18. These ongoing repair efforts, combined with the risk of further landslides, have necessitated the cancellation of several trains to ensure passenger safety.
