The Jodhpur division of North Western Railway is upgrading Jalore and Bhinmal stations to make travel easier for passengers. Most of the development work is already finished, and the stations will be open for the public by August. These changes aim to provide better facilities for elderly people and disabled passengers.
What new facilities are coming to Jalore Station?
Jalore Railway Station will get a new 12-meter wide foot overbridge to help passengers change platforms easily. This bridge will include lifts, ramps, and stairs for people with heavy luggage or mobility issues. The new building work is almost complete, and three new tin sheds are being installed on Platform number 1.
How is the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme progressing?
DRM Anurag Tripathi stated that 14 stations in the Jodhpur division are being developed with a cost of 15 to 20 crore rupees each. Around 90% of the work at Jalore and Bhinmal stations is already done. ADRM Karni Ram recently inspected the Luni-Bhildi rail section to ensure the projects finish on time.
