Indian Railways has introduced a convenient facility for passengers traveling on the recently restored Kasganj-Aishbagh Express, allowing them to secure vacant seats directly on board. By paying an additional fee of ₹20 to the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE), commuters can now obtain immediate seat confirmation, which helps in streamlining the seating process in Second Sitting (2S) and Chair Car coaches while preventing unauthorized occupation of reserved spaces.
- New Service: On-board seat reservation for ₹20 via TTE.
- Applicable Coaches: Second Sitting (2S) and Chair Car.
- Train Numbers: 15312 (Kasganj to Aishbagh) and 15311 (Aishbagh to Kasganj).
- Route Coverage: Includes key stops like Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Mailani, and Sitapur.
Restored Connectivity for Passengers
After an 11-year hiatus, this daily train service was officially restored on July 26, 2026. Operating with a 16-coach configuration, the train has become a vital link for travelers across the region under the sanction of the Railway Board. The outbound service departs from Kasganj at 4:20 AM and reaches Aishbagh by 1:00 PM, while the return train departs Aishbagh at 2:00 PM.
Benefits of the On-Board Facility
This initiative is primarily designed to assist passengers who may not have had the opportunity to book a reserved ticket in advance. By formalizing the seat allocation process on the train, the railway authorities aim to minimize the confusion caused by general ticket holders occupying reserved seats. This not only ensures a more comfortable journey for all passengers but also mitigates the risk of potential penalties for those who were previously unsure about their seating status. Passengers are encouraged to approach the TTE promptly upon boarding to utilize this facility and ensure a hassle-free travel experience on this newly restored route.
