The North Eastern Railway is transforming Daliganj Junction in Lucknow into a high-tech transport hub under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. With a total investment of approximately 28.45 crore, the station is undergoing a complete makeover to provide passengers with modern amenities similar to those found at airports. This project aims to cater to the growing passenger traffic and enhance the overall travel experience in the Lucknow division.
What are the new facilities available at Daliganj Junction?
The redevelopment plan focuses on upgrading the core infrastructure to international standards. A significant highlight of the project is the construction of a 12-meter wide foot over bridge designed to ensure smooth passenger movement across platforms. The station now features an attractive facade and a redesigned station building covering 608 square meters. Passengers will have access to air-conditioned waiting rooms, modern ticket counters, and improved sanitation facilities.
- New 12-meter wide foot over bridge for better connectivity
- Granite flooring across 5,000 square meters of platform area
- Modern waiting halls and clean toilet blocks
- One lift and two escalators currently under installation
- Advanced signage and digital train display boards
