The Indian Railways has temporarily changed the route of Muzaffarpur-Surat Express and Surat-Muzaffarpur Express. This decision was taken because of the concourse construction work happening at Lucknow station. The trains will not stop at Lucknow Junction for a specific period.
Which trains are affected and for how long
The route change affects train number 19054 (Muzaffarpur-Surat Express) and train number 19053 (Surat-Muzaffarpur Express). This change is effective from 15 May to 23 June 2026. The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has taken a 40-day mega block for construction work.
New route and additional stops
To help passengers, the railway has provided extra stops at Aishbagh and Badshahnagar stations. The trains will now follow these paths:
