The Ranchi Railway Division under South Eastern Railway has announced a major travel plan to assist candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Level-1 Computer Based Test (CBT). To ensure smooth transit and prevent overcrowding on regular services, the division will operate **60 trips of special trains** between August 3 and August 22, 2026. These services are strategically timed to align with the three phases of the examinations scheduled for August 3–6, August 9–14, and August 17–21, 2026.

Details of Examination Special Trains
Senior DCM Shreya Singh stated that prioritizing the travel needs of students is paramount during high-stakes recruitment drives. To meet the expected surge in passenger traffic, the division has deployed two pairs of special trains, with each pair completing 30 trips (15 in each direction).
The 08183/08184 Rourkela – Ramgarh Cantt – Rourkela Examination Special will provide crucial connectivity for students. Train 08183 departs Rourkela at 8:30 PM on exam dates, while the return train 08184 departs Ramgarh Cantt at 5:15 AM on the following days. This train features an 18-coach composition consisting of 2 SLR/D, 2 General Second Class, and 14 Sleeper Class coaches, with stoppages at Bano, Hatia, Ranchi, and Muri.
Expanded Connectivity for Candidates
Additionally, the 08601/08602 Ranchi – Sabaur – Ranchi Examination Special will facilitate travel for candidates across a wider region. Train 08601 is scheduled to depart from Ranchi at 7:00 PM, and the return service 08602 will depart from Sabaur at 9:50 AM. This route covers several key stations, including Barkakana, Hazaribagh Town, Koderma, Tilaiya, Nawadah, Warisliganj, Seikhpura, Luckeesarai, Kiul, Abhaipur, Jamalpur, Sultanganj, and Bhagalpur. Both General Second Class and Sleeper Class coaches are available on this service.
Railway authorities have urged all candidates to double-check their train timings and station departures before heading out. Passengers are also requested to maintain decorum and follow official instructions at stations to ensure a hassle-free journey to their exam centers.
