Railway officials have announced exciting news about the Vande Bharat trains in India. They will upgrade the number of coaches on certain routes due to high demand from passengers. This plan mainly affects seven key routes where these trains currently operate.

The Railway Board has decided to increase the number of coaches for some Vande Bharat trains. Specifically, the trains with 8 coaches will be upgraded to 16 coaches, and those with 16 coaches will become 20 coaches. This change aims to accommodate more travelers and improve service.


Passengers can expect new and enhanced Vande Bharat services on these routes: Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central, Secunderabad–Tirupati, Chennai Egmore–Tirunelveli, Madurai–Bengaluru Cantt, Deoghar–Varanasi, Howrah–Rourkela, and Indore–Nagpur. The upgrades will be completed by July 31, 2025, and the new services will start soon.
