Indian Railways has announced the launch of a new special unreserved train service to assist pilgrims traveling for the auspicious Ganga Snan during the holy month of Shravan. This initiative, confirmed by Amit Kumar Singh, Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, is designed to ensure a smooth and comfortable travel experience for devotees heading to Rajghat Narora.
Key highlights of the new service include:
- Special unreserved trains operating on five specific dates in August 2026.
- Direct connectivity between Aligarh Junction and Rajghat Narora.
- Multiple intermediate stoppages to facilitate easy access for rural pilgrims.
- Convenient morning timings for both onward and return journeys.
Schedule and Timings
The special train, numbered 04187/04188, is scheduled to run on August 10, 12, 17, 24, and 28, 2026. For the onward journey, train 04187 will depart from Aligarh Junction at 05:40 AM and reach Rajghat Narora at 07:15 AM. The return service, train 04188, is set to depart from Rajghat Narora at 08:15 AM, arriving back at Aligarh Junction by 09:55 AM.
Route and Stoppages
To ensure maximum convenience for those traveling from surrounding areas, the railway has included several strategic stops along the route. The train will halt at Manzoorgarhi, Harduaganj, Sunamai Halt, Godha Halt, Atroli Road, Dharampur Halt, and Dibai stations.
By providing this dedicated unreserved service, North Central Railway aims to manage the high volume of footfall expected during the Shravan Somvar period. Passengers are encouraged to plan their travel in advance and check the official railway portal for any last-minute schedule updates.
