The North Western Railway (NWR) has unveiled a comprehensive travel plan to facilitate the thousands of pilgrims expected to attend the annual Gogamedi Mela. Scheduled to take place from **August 28 to September 26, 2026**, the railway administration is ramping up operations to ensure seamless connectivity for devotees heading to the fair. Key highlights of the special arrangements include the operation of six pairs of Mela Special trains, temporary halts for existing express services, and partial cancellations of some regional trains to streamline the heavy passenger flow.
- Six pairs of Mela Special trains will operate during the fair period.
- The Shri Ganganagar-Bandra Terminus Express (14701/14702) will observe temporary halts at Gogamedi station.
- Specific Mela Specials will run on the Rewari-Gogamedi, Sadulpur-Gogamedi, and Shri Ganganagar-Sadulpur routes.
- Four regular rail services face partial cancellation on the Sadulpur-Hisar section from August 28 to September 26.
Details of Special Train Services
To manage the surge in footfall, NWR has introduced several dedicated services. The **Hanumangarh-Sadulpur Mela Special (04743/04744)** will run in multiple trips between **August 19 and September 1**, featuring a composition of **10 general coaches and two guard coaches**. This train will serve key stations including Hanumangarh Town, Tibbi, Ellanabad, Nohar, Gogamedi, Tehsil Bhadra, and Sidhmukh.
Additionally, the **Rewari-Gogamedi-Rewari Special (04791/04792)** is scheduled from **August 31 to September 21**, while the **Sadulpur-Gogamedi-Sadulpur Special (04707/04708)** will run from **August 28 to September 26**. Furthermore, the **Shri Ganganagar-Sadulpur Mela Special (04745/04746)** will be operational from **September 18 to 21**.
Temporary Halts and Service Adjustments
According to Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer for NWR, the **Shri Ganganagar-Bandra Terminus Express (14701/14702)** will provide temporary halts at Gogamedi. Train **14701** will stop at the station from **August 15 to 26**, and train **14702** will stop from **August 15 to 25**.
Passengers should be aware that to accommodate these special services, four regular trains operating between **Delhi-Hisar, Hisar-Delhi, Rewari-Hisar, and Hisar-Rewari** will be **partially cancelled** on the Sadulpur-Hisar section throughout the Mela period. All travelers are strongly advised to check the latest train timings and operational status on the official IRCTC website or the NTES app before heading to the station to avoid any last-minute travel inconvenience.
