On August 1, 2026, the South East Central Railway (SECR) invited bids for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract worth ₹455.02 crore. This tender covers a nearly 30-kilometer stretch between Kurkanar and Bhanpuri, which is a vital segment of the broader Dallirajhara-Rowghat-Jagdalpur new railway line. Interested stakeholders are scheduled to attend the first pre-bid meeting on August 24, 2026.
