Passengers travelling through the Ranchi Rail Division should prepare for significant schedule changes on July 24, 2026. The division has announced temporary disruptions across several routes to facilitate essential development work on the Kita-Silli rail section. According to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Shreya Singh, these measures are necessary to ensure long-term passenger safety and network efficiency. Travellers are strongly advised to verify their train status before heading to the station to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
Key changes for July 24, 2026, include:
• 13503/13504 Barddhaman-Hatia-Barddhaman MEMU Express will terminate at Gomo; service between Gomo-Hatia-Gomo is cancelled.
• 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express will be short-terminated and originate from Adra; service between Adra-Hatia-Adra is cancelled.
• 63598/63597 Asansol-Ranchi-Asansol MEMU Passenger will terminate at Muri; service between Muri-Ranchi-Muri is cancelled.

Additional Route Adjustments
Beyond the Kita-Silli project, other operational changes have been scheduled. The 18615 Howrah-Hatia Kriya Yoga Express will partially originate from Santragachi station on July 24 and 25 due to non-interlocking work at the Howrah Link Cabin. Furthermore, the 18615/18616 Howrah-Hatia-Howrah Express is fully cancelled on September 19, 2026, to accommodate Road Over Bridge (ROB) launching work in the Kharagpur Division’s Balichak Yard.
Support for Shravani Mela Pilgrims
Despite these temporary infrastructure-related setbacks, the Ranchi Rail Division is actively supporting religious tourism. To assist devotees travelling for the Shravani Mela, the division will operate the 08895/08896 Itwari-Madhupur-Itwari weekly festival special trains from August 1 to August 30. Passengers are encouraged to keep a close watch on official announcements from the South Eastern Railway regarding any further updates to train schedules as these development projects progress.
