The railway administration is introducing a new catering system at Ambala railway station to make travel easier for passengers. Under the instructions of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Vinod Bhatia, new food and beverage stalls will be set up within the station premises. This move aims to provide quick access to refreshments for people entering or leaving the station.

Where will the new stalls be located
Two new food and beverage stalls will open near the unreserved ticket counter at Ambala Cantt railway station. These are being placed near the main entry gate so that passengers waiting in ticket queues can easily buy tea and snacks. The administration also plans to open more stalls near the Railway Court and opposite the main gate to cover the outer areas of the station.
What are the benefits of this new system
Senior Commercial Manager Yashanjeet Singh stated that these facilities will help create a more organized environment at the station and improve the overall travel experience. Apart from passenger convenience, the initiative is expected to increase railway revenue by approximately ₹40 lakh every year.
