The Bilpur railway crossing 344 C on Dataganj Marg in Fatehganj Purvi, Bareilly, remained closed throughout Sunday, June 14, 2026. This closure happened because the railway department was carrying out essential maintenance work on the tracks. The work started at 11:00 AM and continued until the evening.

Why was Bilpur railway crossing closed

The closure was necessary for stone-filling work on the up-line of the track. Railway officials used machines to fill stones to ensure the stability and safety of the line. Since the machinery occupied the crossing area, the gates remained shut for all road traffic for the entire day.

How did commuters manage the traffic

The closure caused significant inconvenience for local commuters and drivers. To avoid the blocked crossing, people had to take longer alternative routes. Motorcyclists and four-wheeler drivers navigated through Nivadiya village and used the Bahgul river bridge to reach their destinations.
