The long-awaited infrastructure boost for Balrampur has officially begun as construction on the Jharkhandi Railway Overbridge (ROB) commenced on August 7, 2026. This vital project aims to eliminate persistent traffic bottlenecks in the region and streamline connectivity along National Highway-730. The groundbreaking ceremony was held at M.P.P. Inter College, where MLA Sadar Paltu Ram inaugurated the project amidst Vedic chants. The event was attended by Municipal Council President Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dheeru’ and various local dignitaries, marking a significant step forward for the town’s modernization.
For years, commuters have faced delays due to the railway crossing, which frequently disrupted traffic flow.
