With the CBSE Board Examinations 2026 right around the corner, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a thoughtful initiative to help students. Starting from February 17, students appearing for Class 10 and Class 12 exams will experience a smoother journey to their examination centers. The DMRC, in coordination with the CISF, has decided to provide priority access to students at metro stations across the network to ensure they do not get delayed due to morning rush hours.

What Are the Special Facilities for Students?

To support the students during this crucial time, special arrangements have been made for priority frisking and ticketing. Students who are carrying their valid CBSE Admit Card (physical or digital copy) will not have to stand in long queues at security checkpoints. The security personnel will allow them to pass through frisking points on a priority basis.

Similarly, at the ticket counters, students showing their admit cards will be given preference. This applies to both Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care centers. If a student needs to purchase a ticket or fix a smart card issue, they will be attended to first. This move is designed to reduce stress and help students reach their exam centers well before the 10:00 AM arrival deadline.

Important Dates and Advisory for Daily Commuters

These facilities will be available throughout the examination period, which runs from February 17 to April 10, 2026. Since the exams generally take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the morning peak hours between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM are expected to see significant student movement.

Regular office-goers and daily commuters are advised to be patient during these hours, as queue management might change slightly to accommodate students. The DMRC has also started making announcements at stations to guide passengers. These steps are taken to prevent congestion at stations located near major examination centers in the Delhi-NCR region.
