Bihar Polytechnic Exam: East Central Railway ran special trains for students, check details

East Central Railway (ECR) operated several special trains to help students appearing for the Bihar Polytechnic Entrance Exam (DCECE 2026). The exams were held on May 23 and 24, 2026, for Polytechnic Engineering and Para Medical courses. To manage the heavy rush, the railway department made special arrangements at various stations.

What special arrangements did East Central Railway make?

The railway department focused on crowd management and student comfort. They established a dedicated war room to monitor passenger movement and deployed RPF security for safety. Additional rakes were added to trains, and basic facilities like drinking water were ensured at stations. ECR also worked closely with the Bihar government to keep the travel smooth.

In Bhagalpur, additional boats were arranged to help students cross the Ganga river due to pressure on the Vikramshila Setu. Additionally, ECR clarified on social media that a video claiming students were traveling in poor conditions was misleading.
