Why was the Jammu Mail partially cancelled?
The Northern Railway had partially cancelled the service for eight months. This decision was taken because of repair and reconstruction work on railway bridges in Punjab and Jammu. Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the full route is now open for the train starting June 15.
What are the updated train schedules and availability?
The service from Subedarganj to Katra began on June 15, while the return journey from Katra (Train No. 20434) will start on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Additionally, the Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Express (Train No. 22431) will also start running from Subedarganj on June 16, 2026.
