MP Railway Stations Upgrade: 6 stations including Narmadapuram and Seoni to offer airport-like facilities

Indian Railways is rapidly transforming railway stations in Madhya Pradesh under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The project aims to develop these stations as city centers with modern amenities similar to airports. What modern facilities are being added at these stations?

The redevelopment focuses on providing a seamless travel experience for every passenger. The stations now feature modern facades and local artwork that reflects the cultural heritage of the region. Essential facilities like lifts, escalators, and accessible ramps for Divyangjan have been installed to ensure easy mobility for all age groups. The stations are designed to serve as vibrant city centers with improved urban integration.

List of stations upgraded and project details

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Railways, significant investment is being made in the state. Currently, 74 stations in Madhya Pradesh are being upgraded as part of the phase-wise development. In the recent phase, six stations were inaugurated after the completion of redevelopment work at a cost exceeding 86 crore rupees. These stations are now ready to offer a premium experience to commuters.
