The Tirunelveli-Chennai Vande Bharat Express now has 20 coaches, increasing its seating capacity. It runs daily, except Tuesdays, with multiple stops along the route.



The Tirunelveli-Chennai Vande Bharat Express has started operating with more coaches from September 24th. This train connects Tirunelveli and Chennai Egmore and is now more spacious for passengers.

The train has been upgraded to a 20-coach rake, which means it can carry more people. It now has a total of 1,440 seats, thanks to the addition of four new chair car coaches.


This train leaves Tirunelveli at 6:05 AM and arrives in Chennai Egmore at 1:55 PM. On its way back, it departs Chennai at 2:45 PM and reaches Tirunelveli by 10:30 PM. It stops at several places like Tambaram, Villupuram, and Madurai.

With this upgrade, the train now features 18 standard chair cars and 2 executive chair cars. This change was made to meet the growing demand for seats on this busy route.


The Vande Bharat Express runs every day except Tuesday, making it convenient for daily travelers. This service was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, enhancing travel options between these two important cities.
