Gurugram Railway Station is getting a massive makeover to become a modern rail hub for Delhi NCR. The station will feature a new 9-story terminal building. This building will be divided into different sections to manage railway work and passenger needs. Three floors will house railway offices, while one floor will be for passenger waiting areas and premium lounges. The remaining four floors will have commercial spaces like food courts, showrooms, and cafes.
How much will the station expand and what is the cost?
The project has an estimated cost of ₹300 crore. The station area is increasing from about 1,500 square meters to 23,587 square meters, which is more than a 15-fold increase. A new fourth platform will also be built to handle more trains.
