A judge from the Allahabad High Court had his hand bag stolen while traveling on the Vande Bharat Express from Meerut City to Varanasi. This incident happened on Sunday as he was traveling in the executive class of the train.
Justice Anil Kumar was on train number 22490 and was heading from Lucknow to Varanasi. When he reached Varanasi Junction, he realized that he had forgotten his bag on seat number 27.
As soon as he noticed, he rushed back to look for it but found that the bag was missing. The bag contained his High Court ID card, bank cards, glasses, some cash, and other personal items.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) are currently examining the CCTV footage from the coach to find out what happened. There have been several theft incidents reported in trains recently.
The police have filed a case and are actively searching for the thief. Passengers are advised to keep their belongings secure while traveling to avoid such incidents.
