Ambala Cantt Railway Station will soon get a digital luggage locker facility to make travel easier for passengers. This new system is being introduced by the Ambala Division of Northern Railway. The facility will be available in the AC waiting hall on Platform number 1, which was recently renovated at a cost of 20 lakh rupees.

Where will the digital lockers be located and how will they work?
The digital lockers will be placed in the newly renovated AC waiting hall on Platform 1, which can hold about 300 passengers. To use the service, passengers will enter their mobile number and receive an OTP. After selecting a locker, they can make an online payment by scanning a QR code to book the space.
What are the charges and storage limits for the lockers?
According to N.K. Jha, Senior Commercial Manager of Ambala Division, the proposed charges for using these lockers will range between Rs 50 and Rs 100. This facility is designed for passengers who have long waiting times or need to visit the city without carrying their bags. The luggage can be stored in these digital lockers for up to 24 hours.
