Indian Railways has announced significant service adjustments for the Jhansi-Manikpur section to facilitate critical infrastructure upgrades. From July 27 to July 29, 2026, the North Central Railway will undertake double-line construction and essential non-interlocking work between Mauranipur and Rora stations. These improvements are vital for enhancing long-term safety and boosting train speeds across the region. Passengers are advised to note the following key impacts:

* Six trains are fully cancelled during the three-day block period.

* Several express services will be diverted via alternative routes.

* Multiple long-distance trains will face scheduled regulations and delays.

* A safety inspection by the Railway Safety Commissioner is slated for July 29.

Details of Cancelled Services

The following trains will remain suspended to accommodate the construction block: The 11801 Gwalior–Prayagraj Express (cancelled July 27-28) and the 11802 Prayagraj–Gwalior Express (cancelled July 28-29). Additionally, daily MEMU services are affected: 64613 and 64614 (Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Banda) are cancelled on July 27-28, while 64611 and 64612 (Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Manikpur) are cancelled on July 28.

Diversions and Train Regulations

The 19665 Khajuraho-Udaipur City Express (July 29) will be diverted via Khajuraho, Birari, Delwara, and Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, while the 19666 Udaipur–Khajuraho Express (July 27) will run via the Delwara–Birari route.

Commuters should also prepare for delays in their travel schedules. The 20975 Howrah-Agra Cantt Express scheduled for July 28 will face a 150-minute delay in the Prayagraj Division and a 60-minute delay in the Jhansi Division. Other services, including the 12176 Gwalior-Howrah Chambal Express and the 04191 Gwalior-Rewa Special, are expected to experience delays of approximately 60 minutes.

Railway authorities have urged passengers to stay updated by checking the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the official Indian Railways website before heading to the station. Given the scope of these infrastructure works, travelers are encouraged to plan for potential delays or consider alternative travel arrangements to avoid inconvenience.
