Ajmer-Palanpur section block: Several trains cancelled and diverted, check full list

North Western Railway has announced a traffic block on the Ajmer-Palanpur and Madar-Palanpur rail sections. This decision was taken to carry out essential infrastructure work, specifically installing RCC boxes on bridge number 638 between Rani and Khimeel stations, and bridge numbers 633 and 634 between Jawali and Rani stations. The work is aimed at improving safety and upgrading the railway tracks.

Which trains are cancelled and when

Due to the ongoing construction work, some trains have been cancelled on specific dates. The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Express (14821) will remain cancelled on April 23 and 24, 2026. Similarly, the Sabarmati-Jodhpur Express (14822) will be cancelled on April 24 and 25, 2026. These cancellations were previously implemented on April 17 as well.

List of diverted trains and new routes

To ensure connectivity, several trains will run on alternative routes. Some trains will go via the Mehsana-Bhiladi-Luni route, while others will take the Ajmer-Chittorgarh-Ratlam-Vadodara path. Additional halts have been provided at stations like Patan, Bhiladi, Marwar Bhinmal, Jalore, and Samdari for the convenience of passengers.

Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan stated that these steps are necessary for long-term safety to prevent accidents. Railway officials have advised all passengers to check their train status through the official railway helpline or at the station before starting their journey to avoid any inconvenience.
