North Western Railway has decided to add extra sleeper coaches to several trains departing from Ajmer. This move comes to handle the increased rush of passengers during the summer vacations and wedding season. The main goal is to provide relief to passengers and reduce the long waiting lists for tickets.

The railway administration has identified several key routes for this expansion. The Ajmer-Amritsar-Ajmer (19611/19614) and Ajmer-Bandra Terminus services are among the primary trains receiving additional sleeper capacity. Other trains like Ajmer-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Jan Shatabdi, Ajmer-Agra Fort, Ajmer-Sialdah, and Ajmer-Solapur are also being upgraded to accommodate more travelers.

What else is planned for passenger convenience?
Apart from adding coaches to existing trains, the railway is introducing new services. A weekly special train will run between Ajmer and Ranchi, featuring Second AC, Third AC, Sleeper, and General class coaches. Divisional Railway Manager Anurag Tripathi mentioned that extra coaches are also being added on other major routes including Jaipur-Jodhpur, Jodhpur-Indore, Indore-Bhagat Ki Kothi, and Jodhpur-Varanasi City to ease the crowd.
