New Train Announcement: Indian Railways to launch Amrit Bharat trains from Gorakhpur to Delhi and Mumbai

The Railway Board has allocated two sleeper class rakes to the North Eastern Railway for the introduction of Amrit Bharat train services. These trains will connect Gorakhpur with Delhi and Mumbai, providing a low-cost and modern travel option. The rakes are expected to reach Gorakhpur by Friday, May 29, 2026.

What are the details of the Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express?

A weekly service (Train Nos. 14046/14045) has already been approved for the Delhi-Gorakhpur route. The train will depart from Delhi every Tuesday at 12:40 AM and reach Gorakhpur at 3:50 PM. On the return journey, it will leave Gorakhpur at 9:40 PM on Tuesdays and arrive in Delhi at 12:50 PM on Wednesday.

Where will the Delhi-Gorakhpur train stop?

The train will cover several key stations to help passengers from the Purvanchal region. The planned stoppages include:

  • Ghaziabad and Moradabad
  • Bareilly and Shahjahanpur
  • Sitapur City and Burhwal
  • Gonda, Balrampur, and Barhni
  • Siddharth Nagar and Anand Nagar
