To assist the millions of Shiva devotees traveling for the Kanwar Mela, Northern Railway has officially extended the Delhi Junction–Shamli MEMU services to Haridwar. This special arrangement is timed to coincide with the Sawan Yatra, providing direct rail connectivity from Delhi-NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh to the holy city of Haridwar.
- Train No. 64033 (Delhi to Haridwar) operates from July 29 to August 13, 2026.
- Train No. 64034 (Haridwar to Delhi) operates from July 30 to August 14, 2026.
- The extension includes 16 additional stoppages between Shamli and Haridwar.
- Northern Railway has also extended the Delhi-Saharanpur MEMU and Delhi-Shamli DEMU services.
Schedule and Route Details
Train No. 64033 departs Delhi Junction daily at 4:25 PM, passing through Shamli at 7:05 PM, and reaching Haridwar at 11:00 PM. For the return journey, Train No. 64034 departs Haridwar at 4:00 AM, stops at Shamli between 6:55 AM and 7:00 AM, and arrives at Old Delhi at 10:10 AM.
The extended route ensures seamless travel for pilgrims by covering several key stations, including Silawar, Hind, Usmanpur Dehat Halt, Harhar Fatehpur, Thana Bhawan Town, Thana Bhawan, Nanauta, Sona Arjunpur, Rampur Maniharan, Bhankala Halt, Jandhera Halt, Manani, Tapri, Roorkee, and Jwalapur.
Enhanced Passenger Facilities and Safety
Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, along with Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mahesh Yadav, confirmed that this initiative is designed to reduce road congestion and provide a hassle-free journey for travelers.
To maintain order and safety, the railways have deployed increased security personnel at major junctions. Additionally, special crowd control ticket windows have been established, and strict baggage checks are being enforced to ensure the safety of all passengers.
