Indian Railways has decided to operate 10 special trains to manage the heavy rush of passengers during the summer season. These trains will connect Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana with West Bengal and Jharkhand. This move aims to provide relief to passengers traveling from western and southern states to eastern India.

The railways have introduced several special services to help passengers. Some of the key routes include:
- Bhavnagar to Howrah
- Sabarmati to Durgapur
- Valsad to Durgapur
- Udhna to Durgapur
- Nanded to Asansol
These trains will feature General Second Class, Sleeper, and AC coaches to suit different budgets of the common man.
How to book tickets and other key details
Passengers can book their tickets through official PRS counters or the IRCTC Rail Connect app. Western Railway GM Ramashray Pandey mentioned during a visit to Udhna station that more trains for Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha will be added if demand remains high.
