Nawalgarh railway station is getting a complete makeover under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. What is the update on the Nawalgarh Cargo Terminal
Apart from passenger facilities, the railway is focusing on industrial growth in the region. Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnav confirmed that a cargo terminal is currently under construction at Nawalgarh. This terminal will help local industries move goods more efficiently. Additionally, there are plans to lay a new rail line for cement factories, although some land compensation issues with farmers are still being addressed.
Investment and scale of the Amrit Bharat Scheme
The central government is investing over ₹60,000 crore to upgrade more than 1,300 stations nationwide. The goal is to make these stations act as connectors for their respective cities. The work at Nawalgarh and other stations is being carried out without disrupting regular train traffic.
