Northern Railway has announced a new reserved special express train between New Delhi and Gaya Junction to manage the summer rush. This service will operate twice a week starting from April 15, 2026, and will continue until July 13, 2026. The move aims to provide significant relief to passengers traveling towards Bihar during the peak holiday season during which regular trains often see long waiting lists.

The special train service will run twice a week to cater to the high demand for tickets. The timings are designed to provide an overnight travel option for passengers between the national capital and Bihar.
