The train is specifically designed to cater to low and middle-income passengers, featuring a composition of non-AC sleeper (SL) and unreserved coaches. It serves as a crucial link for long-distance commuters, covering a vast 3,102-kilometer route in approximately 54 hours and 15 minutes.
Operational Details
The train operates on a weekly basis, departing from New Jalpaiguri every Wednesday. Throughout its extensive journey, the train makes 43 scheduled halts at major railway hubs, including Malda Town, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada Junction, and Madurai. Passengers are advised to take note of these minor timing adjustments at the southern end of the route to plan their onward journeys accordingly.
